Ripped From the Headlines

OK, so you won't find any crime scene investigations here (or at least, not yet!) - I'm just trying to get your attention.

This is ripped from the "sports" pages. And while I reserve the right to brag with reckless abandon, I'll let the editors of the sports section do it for me this time :-).

Not to be left out of the limelight, Xander (center blonde-shaggy-haired kid below) also had his day in the soccer sun, when he and big sis (left of Xander) got to carry the San Jose Earthquakes team flag on the field during a Major League Soccer game.

Eating insects?! Have things gotten that bad for the Olivero's?

Not yet. We will resort to eating bugs though (not as in Bugs Bunny either - though we'll eat those too). While eating at a restaurant in Santa Monica, we ate crickets! A popular food item in many parts of Southeast Asia, the kids were ready to abide by the "when-in-Rome" rule. Sharpening their bizarre-foods eating skills, they are eager to challenge others in the "whats-the-wierdest-thing-you've-eaten?" game - already on their list: sushi of all kinds, eel, sea urchin, jellyfish, crickets, goose liver, chicken heart. Any takers?

Thats more than my fill for blogging now. Hopefully won't be too long before I have something else out of the ordinary to share... We Outlaws have a reputation to uphold.
